In 2019, I obtained my first nutritional qualification after (a long journey of) healing my sick dog when countless vets could not.
Before all my functional training, it took me far too long to figure out the root cause of all his suffering; so many sleepless nights. But when I did, my dog was permanently healed after a tiny dietary tweak.
I was flabbergasted when I applied my learnings to me, for 30+ symptoms to disappear (despite my 'healthy' diet). So much so, in 2020 I co-founded non-profit proHOUND® as lead nutritionist and shook up my entire career to train in functional medicine.
If there's one thing I've learned from my functional training, it's that each mammalian body (and therefore its requirements) is unique.
What support might your canine companion need?
I formally began my nutritional journey in 2019 and transitioned into functional health in 2023.
I snapped up the iPet Canine Nutrition L3 (C31012300335) as soon as it became available. I've taken my education to a much higher level with humans, but it pleases me to say that so much of human functional health is relevant to hounds. In fact, their differences is what makes it all SO fascinating!
I've studied with Aberdeen's medical school, the College of Naturopathic Medicine, FEMM™ and I am a Certified Nutritional Therapist (22CE1490) with THSA. I'm a member of IFM® (profile HERE) where I've began the long journey of prestigious full certification - my CPD will never end!
